The Ericksonian and Satir Patterns Certificated Programme

A Fourteen-Day Hypnosis in NLP Certificated Programme.

Location:

The NLP Training Centre S.A. 182 Glynburn Road TRANMERE South Australia 5073.

This programme offers NLP Practitioners the hypnotic patterns of Dr. Milton H Erickson M.D. and some of the intervention patterns of Dr. Virginia Satir Ph.D.

Dr. Erickson, a psychiatrist, and Dr. Satir, a family therapist, were two of the outstanding therapists who were modelled by the co-founders of NLP, Dr. John Grinder Ph.D. and Dr. Richard Bandler Ph.D. The models of NLP that Bandler and Grinder made available during the foundational period of NLP contain many of the models of therapy used by both Erickson and Satir.

Ericksonian Hypnosis.

Over the centuries of exploration of the phenomenon of hypnosis many stereotypes have been spawned about what hypnosis is and how people may experience it. One stereotype is that a hypnotist can control the behaviour of a person experiencing hypnosis. Another stereotype is that people experiencing trance can be made to do embarrassing behaviours like squawk like chickens, or become as rigid as boards.  Dramatic hypnotic phenomena such as these are valid experiences that can be experienced by anyone who is willing to participate in the drama of stage hypnotism. Indeed dramatic phenomena may be required to attract an audience that may be interested in that type of entertainment.

Ericksonian Hypnosis is an equally valid hypnotic experience that can be experienced by anyone who is willing to explore it. Milton Erickson was a noted psychiatrist who employed hypnosis therapeutically for the welfare and benefit of his patients. He explored naturally occurring trance states and considered trance an experience that client and therapist could share. Throughout his career he strove to use hypnosis to give people greater freedom of choice in their lives.

Erickson’s gained fame and repute through the effective use of his form of hypnosis. This course offers the NLP practitioner the opportunity to explore trance with Erickson’s style and acquire more of his language patterns, interventions, and techniques.

Virginia Satir.

Virginia Satir was modelled because she was considered the foremost family therapist of her time. A woman of unbridled energy and boundless generosity of spirit, she was the epitome of rapport. She connected with her clients with compassion, believing that all human behaviour was driven by positive intentions. She also acted on the principle that changing posture was a key to changing a person’s experience. Virginia applied this insight to her work and pioneered the use of physical procedures that reframed and changed people’s lives.

The Ericksonian and Satir Certificated Programme will enable you to explore and acquire valuable patterns that you can add to your repertoire of NLP skills.
